Q: The big tree in my front yard has some dead branches. How can I have those taken care of?
A: The trees between the sidewalk and the curb belong to Howard County (these are known as "Street Trees") and it's their responsibility to keep them trimmed. Contact Howard County Department of Highways at 410-313-7450.
If it's just a few downed limbs, let us know and our landscaping company can collect them next time they are in the neighborhood.
Q: When is trash collection?
A: Howard County provides recycling pickup on Wednesdays and trash collection on Fridays. You may set out your trash or recycling after 6:00 PM the night before for early morning collection. We have mixed recycling in our county, and you can recycle practically anything. For more information, visit the Howard County Bureau of Environmental Services.
Q: How do I access my mailbox?
A: The mailbox kiosk is owned by the post office and keys are generally turned over at the time of sale. Visit the main Columbia branch at 6801 Oak Hall Lane, Columbia, MD 21045 or call (410) 381-7250 for information on having your lock re-keyed.
Q: How much are dues and when are they paid?
A: Our dues are currently $75 per quarter. They are billed on January 1, April 1, July 1, and October 1 and due at the end of each of those months. Q: How do I pay my dues electronically with Zelle or PayPal?
Zelle- If you have a Zelle account through your bank, you may use that account and send your payment to our billing email- Harpers.Glen@verizon.net. Please make sure you include your account number to ensure credit to your property.
PayPal- If you have a PayPal account, you can send a payment directly to our PayPal account. Log into your Paypal and select "Send". Search for Harpers.Glen@verizon.net. Enter the amount you would like to send. Please make sure you include your account number on the payment to ensure that it is properly credited to your property.
