Longfellow 43rd Annual July 4th Parade and Softball Game
Hesperus Drive, Eliots Oak Road
10am to 2pm
Longfellow will host its 43rd annual parade, rain or shine, beginning at 10am at Longfellow Elementary School. Fire trucks will lead this years Grand Marshal, county executive Ken Ulman, followed by the color guard, the marching band and local organizations, down Hesperus Drive. At noon, the Hesperus Wrecks and the Eliots Oaks Nuts will compete in the annual softball game at the Columbia Association field near the intersection of Cedar Lane and Rivendell Lane in Harper's Choice. All are welcome to take part in the parade and game.
Howard County Festival and Fireworks
Lake Kittamaqundi, Columbia downtown lakefront
5pm to 10pm
Families can enjoy 2 musical stages, face painting and carnival games among other activities at the free Columbia lakefront event. A fireworks display over Lake Kittamaqundi is scheduled at dusk. A fireworks-only rain date is set for Friday, July 5th.
River Hill Annual Independence Day Parade
Great Star Drive, Columbia
9am to noon
The parade starts at Pointers Run Elementary School and ends at Clarksville's Fifth District Volunteer Fire Department.
