Rebuilding Together Howard County is now accepting applications for its Free Home Repairs Program. This program provides assistance to low-income homeowners, the elderly, disabled or those who simply don't have the funds necessary to maintain their home. To qualify, you must own and reside in your Howard County home.
There is a brief, two page application that must be completed to be considered for the program. If your home is chosen, all repairs will be completed by volunteers the last Saturday in April at no cost to the homeowner.
Rebuilding Together Howard County has repaired over 580 homes in the county since its inception in 1992. Corporate sponsors provide the funding and materials; volunteers provide the labor. An application may be picked up at your Village Office, downloaded from the Rebuilding Together web site at http://www.rebuildingtogetherhowardcounty.org/ or call 410-381-3338 to have one sent to you.
The application deadline is December 31, 2011.
