To Everyone Registered for 2025 and the Waitlists
Hi Ghost Train Runners!!
Wow, it's hard to believe that we are less than two weeks until race day! All of us on the Ghost Train Committee are working hard to get ready and excited to see you soon!
A few important things -
1. I'll send another email next week with additional information.
2. Waitlist and Dropping (Waitlists are currently active for the 30-Hour Ultra and Haunted Night 30-Mile Races) - the LAST DAY to be invited in from the waitlist is this Wednesday, October 8th. I do invites several times a day, but I'll do one last set of invites that night of the 8th. If you want to drop and have someone invited in off the waitlist, that needs to happen ON THE 8th by 6pm at the LATEST. If you drop on the 9th, nobody will be invited in off the waitlist. Email me if you need to drop, or follow the instructions on our website. Thanks for your consideration! The last day for ANY changes - dropping, changing people on relay teams, accepting an invitation off the waitlist, etc. is 6pm on October 10th. NO exceptions!
3a. Camping or setting up a tent on Friday? We have a NEW process this year! Before you arrive, please do the following!
Read, enter your email address, and acknowledge the items in our Camping Information Form. Skip this step at your peril - you may be the last allowed to enter in favor of those who already know the rules and can get waved through! All cars will turn into the camp, do a loop of the first parking lot (Lot B on the map in the form) and then be allowed to continue down the camp road to setup right away IF you've filled out the form. The secret info to pass the gate will be emailed by Friday morning, the 17th. We'll have folks there to help on Friday so don't worry!
3b. Setting up a tent or camping on Saturday? I'd encourage you to read the form with the rules and important information. Don't make me move your stuff if you're setup in an invalid area!! Camping and tent setup is first come first serve, but there will be room for you. The biggest difference between Friday setup and Saturday? You can't drive down the camp road, and will need to move all your stuff from where you park to the area where you setup. I'd highly recommend a cart to make things easier.
Note: You may set up a chair and we'll have a drop bag area if you're running the Haunted Night 30-Mile, but there is no camping at the Milford DPW. If you'd like to camp overnight, you're welcome to follow the camping rules above at Camp Tevya. Sorry, but we just don't have the room for tents/camps at the DPW!
4 & 5 - Don't forget about the awesome spaghetti dinner on Friday October 17th, and if you can do so, please bring food items for the local food pantries. Things are tough out there for many people, and a few food items (or feminine products or personal care items!) from you really add up. Check out the great list from the Brookline Food Pantry for ideas - e.g. they have plenty of canned tuna and beans. But they could really use many other things!
Lastly - VOLUNTEERS! We could still use a few more volunteers in certain areas. If you or someone you know can take a shift, please go to our Volunteering page and learn more!

Oh, and don't worry. We don't generally lose too many runners or crew to the ghosts or monsters on the course. No reason to panic there. Yet.
