Background

Gerardo Flores received the B.S. degree in electronic engineering with honors from the Institute of Technology of Saltillo, Mexico in 2007; the master’s degree in automatic control from the Center for Research and Advanced Studies of the National Polytechnic Institute, Mexico City, Mexico, in 2010; and the Ph.D. degree in Computer Science and Engineering at the Heuristics and Diagnostics for Complex Systems Laboratory, University of Technology of Compiègne, France in 2014. At the present time, he is a researcher at Center for Research in Optics where he is responsible and founder of the Perception and Robotics LAB (LAPYR).

Research

Gerardo's research is in the area of theory and applications of dynamical systems, nonlinear control, vision systems and modeling and control of hybrid unmanned aerial vehicles. For a more detailed description, please see the Research section.
