Look for the town/village your ancestor came from in Poland, Lithuania or Eastern Germany. This will also give you the name of the kreis (district) and province, and the Polish equivalent of each if relevant. All locations are EAST of the Oder and Neisse rivers and are based on the borders of the eastern provinces in Spring 1918.
