Our premises are fully equipped with the latest in technology, but also some old tech like microfiche readers. We have multiple desktop stations and approx. 15 laptops, all running Microsoft Windows 11. We have our own in-house server which acts like a mini cloud, allowing users to access our massive digitised collection of records. All our computers connect wirelessly to our high speed internet; members can also bring their own laptops and make use of our wi-fi. We have extra monitors, for ease of switching between programs; There are a variety of scanners: A4 and A3, plus scanners for photos, negatives and slides, and a free standing book scanner which you can use for scanning precious mementos, as well as books. Plenty of space and comfy office chairs. 

We stock DNA test kits from FTDNA; Our library contains thousands of books, microfiche, CD's, DVD's, journals, maps, indexes, registers, directories, shipping lists, census records and more....
