Our Library

The physical library has over 17,000 resources, mainly books, but also including collections of cuttings (and other ephemera), DVDs, CDs, microfilm, microfiche and maps. We have resources about people, places and events, that can be used to inform and enhance your own family histories. These have been donated or purchased over many years.

The Local section of the library relates to Sunshine Coast resources. Some other large sections include: Australian, individual Australian states, Convicts, Biography, countries of the British Isles, Family Histories, Military and Shipping. Not what you are looking for? There are other sections not mentioned here – come in and have a look.

The digital library is much larger, with photo images, document scans, periodicals, digital books etc.

Members may borrow Loan items for a month; Reference items are for short-term loan only – no longer than a week. Not For Loan items may only be used at the centre. Newly acquired resources are on display for one month and may not be borrowed during this period.
