Practical info

School venue: 

The school will be held at the Faculty of Science, Chiang Mai University, Chiang Mai, Thailand. 

(For those interested, Thai lectures (informal session) on Sunday 28 Jan 15:00-18:00 will be in the Neutron Building nearby.)

If you stay at Chiang Mai Phucome hotel, there will be a staff to guide you on the first day.

If you stay elsewhere and need to use taxi or uber, please show the driver the address in the image below. (Faculty of Science Building is 'SCB2' in the map below on the right.)

Traveling: 

• If you travel by air, please fly to Chiang Mai International Airport (CNX) on Sun 29 Jan 2018

• There will be transportation (available from 7:00-21:00 on Jan 2018) to take you from Airport to Chiang Mai Phucome hotel. (Look for hotel sign)

• If you arrive by train, please take B1 bus from the train station to the hotel (Fee = 15 Baht). Please see bus map below. Hotel is located near Chiang Mai University, at the intersection (left side of map). 

• Other modes of transportation available: Taxi, Uber, Red Shuttle (Rot Dang)

Accommodation: 

• Those (Students, Lecturers, Staffs) who are provided accommodation will be housed at Chiang Mai Phucome Hotel. (GPS: 18.805127, 98.959584)

  • Check-in date: Sun 28 Jan 2018

  • Check-out date: Sat 3 Feb 2018

  • Two persons per room, breakfasts are included

  • Outside of this period, you have to pay on your own account and also contact the hotel directly

Computers:

For group discussions, please bring along a notebook computer. If possible, please install a data analysis software such as Matlab or Excel in your computer ahead of time.

Fees:

• Accepted participants will be provided complimentary lunches and (for those who requested) accommodation.

• Please bring cash and credit card for other expenses such as dinners.

• Accompanying person: $100 (3,300 THB) each (can join lectures, lunches, and banquet)
