In 1999, Hasbro introduced a near future concept of GI jOE ... "The Adventures of GI jOE 2010 ".

The theme of this series seemed to be primarily secret missions, hence the titles on each set: "Operation: [ insert mission name here]". 

Doesn't everyone want their GI jOE to go on a secret mission ?!

These are some of the sets from "The Adventures of GI jOE 2010 " and some of the Operations/Missions:

Each GIjOE wore "futuristic camouflage" and  the equipment from both the Hall of Fame, the Classic Collection and  Action Man items that were sold only internationally,  were reused to make up the short-lived 2010 line.
