He is one of many GI jOEs that have performed their duty in countries all around the world since 1964.

As part of an elite task force, GI jOE's primary objectives are counterterrorism, counterinsurgency and national intervention operations. GI jOE conducts missions similar to those attributed to the British Special Air Service (SAS), on which it was originally modeled. GI jOE has always been the first and last line of defense against forces that seek to plunge our world into chaos. Although it is an extremely versatile group capable of assuming many covert missions, it's secondary objectives include rescue and exploration.

No assignment is too risky and no mission is too dangerous ... because no one does the job better than GI jOE !
