Sunday, April 21, 1pm dish-to-share lunch, brief business meeting, 2:20pm showing of Fallen Leaves, directed by Finnish film maker Aki Kaurismäki. The Finnish entry for Best International Feature Film at the 96th Academy Awards!
May 19, 2:30pm Booktalk by Hanna Pylväinen, author of The End of Drum-Time. Her novel is set in the Nordic region above the Arctic Circle in 1850's. Hanna will show slides from her six research trips in northern Finland and Norway (Sápmi) where she stayed with the same reindeer- herding Sami family. The End of Drum-Time was one of 5 nominees for the 2023 National Book Award for fiction
June 22 – 5pm Juhannus at Keturi’s Green Acres. Saturday (not a 3rd Sunday)

The Finger Lakes Finns is a New York State 501(c)3, not-for-profit, charitable organization or club, dedicated to the heritage of Finnish-Americans in the southern Finger Lakes region including the rural areas around Spencer, Van Etten, Newfield, Ithaca, Danby, Trumansburg, and Interlaken.

Membership dues: Annual dues are ten dollars ($10) per year/individual, payable to "Finger Lakes Finns" and sent to the FLF Membership Registrar. Payment may be made at any time during the year, but covers membership only for the remainder of that calendar year. Membership year begins in January. Members joining during November or December extend membership for the next full year.
