TIP
Try the new kingpin in the hole in the " A " frame BEFORE you fit the stub axle .
Often it will not be an easy push fit through because the start of the hole in the " A " frame is slightly burred .
Easy remedy is to put a very tiny chamfer { about half to one millimetre } on the leading edges .
xxxxx
Often you cannot get the kingpin fully through as it is jamming on a wee burr where the locating / roll pin goes through as per the following video ;
xxxx
A tiny half round file can be used very sparingly to clean the bore until you can push the kingpin fully through with your fingers as per video ;

Do not over clean the bore of the " A " frame because you will make the hole TOO slack .

KINGPIN ; PART ONE OF AN OBSERVATION ;
While fitting a kingpin recently , I noticed the following difference between 2 brand new kingpins I had .
Perhaps this is one of the reasons that some kingpins are easier to fit through the radius arm { " A " frame }

KINGPIN ; PART TWO OF AN OBSERVATION ;
Further observation about Kingpin fitting
You might have found it a very tight fit to slide the stub axle over the Radius arm { " A " frame } ?
This might be due to the following ;
Stub Axle ;
Bronze spacer ;
Kingpin Broze Spacer in position but it is not fitting correctly ;
Note that the bronze spacer lip is not fitting over the bearing due to the bottom of the spacer being too long and butting on the stub axle
Kingpin Bronze Spacer in position and correctly fitting flush after rubbing a few thou of the bottom of the spacer
If the bronze spacer is sitting slightly up at the back { inside } then it will be tighter to fit the stub axle fully and easily onto the stub axle

{ You MUST check that the bearing has a tiny hole drilled in the outside to enable grease to be pumped in . Some bearings have no hole and , while they will fit , you will have to replace them VERY quickly as they will not be greased }
