1/9/2019 After Anna Todd, 2014

I would recommend After to girls who love romance but doesn’t love to read. Once you get started you can’t put the book down, staying up all night to finish the next

chapter. This book is an easy read with lots of action. After is written for young adults so there is sex and language in the book. The book is about a college love

story between a good girl, Tess, and a mysterious bad boy, Harden, which falls into something they would’ve never suspected. The story is about Tess trying to figure

out Harden’s tragic backstory. It is written in Tess point-of-view, which gives it a deeper tense and curiosity to the book. The book draws you in every chapter piece

by piece. After is the first book to the series, so if you liked this book go read the others.

1/10/2018 All the Bright Places Jennifer Niven, 2015

This book is great for anyone who doesn’t mind a cliche love story. It follows the same overall plot line as many other YA fiction novels, a boy and girl fall in love,

all seems right in the world, but in the end tragedy strikes and the two are separated. The book is impossible to put down and the end of each chapter will only

leave you wanting more. Both main characters, Theodore Finch and Violet Markey, are relatable in their own ways and as a reader, it is very easy to form strong

connections to them throughout the book. And believe me, you will. At most times the book is hopeful and lighthearted, such as Violet and Finch’s many road trips

together, but the ending is truly heartbreaking. If you’re like me, it will leave you a crying mess, no matter how many times you’ve already read the book.

1/30/2012 Along for the Ride Sarah Dessen, 2009

I am recommending this book because it is a nice and easy book to sit-down and read. It is very well written, and it makes you want to continue reading. Sarah

Dessen is a very good author and writes books that are easy to read. Along for the Ride doesn't have anything in it that someone won't like. This keeps you on

you feet also because what you think is going to happen doesn't and changes everything. I recommend this mostly for girls who like a little bit of a love story.

1/30/2012 The Choice Nicholas Sparks, 2007

Nicholas Sparks does yet another excellent job at showing the development of two young people's relationship, their struggle to stay together, and how painful

it would be if that was all taken away because of one horrible car crash. This book will constantly have you smiling as you read about how two people quickly fall

in love and then have you desperately wishing you could read faster to see what happens in the end. It is a very heartwarming story that I recommend to all

readers.

1/30/2012 The Choice Nicholas Sparks, 2007

The Choice is a love story written by Nicholas Sparks. It is a novel about finding yourself and finding the difference between loving and being in love with someone.

I will warn that it is an extreme tear jerker, so if you can not handle heartbreak, I wouldn't read it. This book is very down to earth and real in the sense that the

events that do occur can happen any day at any time. It's the kind of book that pulls you in after a chapter or two and once you get that far you're hooked and

wound up in the suspense of the love and the sadness, only wanting the outcome to be good. Overall, it is a well written book, but be aware it was written for

adults so there is sex and language as well as adult problems in it. But, if you're a Sparks fan you'll love it.

1/9/2019 The Clearing Heather Davis, 2004

The Clearing by Heather Davis 2004, Romance was a very unique book to read. I would recommend this book if you like romance and a little mystery. It is a love

story with an unusual plot that makes you loathe having to put the book down. This book is definitely one of my favorite books that i have read because there are

so many unsuspecting events and when your almost positive you’ve foreseen what’s going to happen next the complete opposite transpires. It is not too long and

you don’t get bored easily because you’re so eager to know what happens next. The chapters are about five to ten pages long which makes it easy and smooth to

read through them thoroughly. It is definitely a rollercoaster of a story.

1/30/2012 The Clearing Heather Davis, 2004

This book is honestly one of the best book that I've read. The Clearing is from a boy and a girl's perspective and what they think. I would recommend this book

to people because I'm not a big fan of reading, but this book made me want to keep reading and never put the book down. The ending is unpredictable and

sad. Its a cute romance that shows how two people struggle to be together. I think that anyone who reads this will instantly fall in love with the book.

12/5/2011 Cloaked Alex Flinn, 2011

This book is adventurous! I loved it BUT the chapters ARE EXTREMELY SHORT! You'll try to read just one more chapter but turns out you've read the whole book

with that whole one chapter thing... The chapters' length makes you read more as it is a fast paced book! I loved it, many of our fairy tales from when we were all

small children and many we don't know are in this wonderful book!

9/28/2014 Clockwork Prince Cassandra Clare

Though I was unsure of what genre it really was, that was mainly because the book had so much to it. After searching it up, I can agree that it can be considered a

Romance Novel, but I'd say it also fits in the Action/Adventure category, so whether you like love stories or stories with fighting in thrills, this book is most likely for you.

Though I have not finished it, it only helps as I can't spoil anything. Clockwork Prince is about Tessa Gray, who lives at the London Institute among Shadow hunters, a

group of half-angel-half-human beings called Nephilim. After the recent failings of the manager of the Institute, Charlotte, the Council of Shadow hunters begin to question

her ability to lead. Now Tessa and her are trying to find an evil industrialist named Mortmain bent on destroying all the Nephilim in the world or risk losing control of the

Institute to Benedict Lightwood.

5/3/2012 Crossed Ally Condie, 2011

This book is really engaging. It is a continuation of the first book in the series, Matched, and I think it is just as good. I read it in one day because I couldn’t put it down.

I think that this book is really inspiring because it proves how far someone can push themselves for true love. The main character in the story stops at nothing until she

sees her love again. What really made me like the book though , was that there was enough action and adventure in the book to keep it from becoming sappy and boring.

I suggest it to anyone that likes a good story.

5/3/2012 Delirium Lauren Oliver, 2011

If you're looking for a great romance novel here it is. Even though it is over 400 pages long Delirium was a very fast read, and I found it really hard to put it down. If you

don't like crazy endings then this book may not be for you, it nearly drove me crazy once I finished it. But other than that I would highly recommend this book.

1/10/2018 Diary of an Oxygen Thief Anonymous, 2016

I highly recommend Diary of an Oxygen Thief to those who enjoy the type of books are written through the author’s first person perspective; everything they feel, everything

they see, every single thought they have is just written out, and you sort of feel it with them. It evokes emotions in you, that you never thought you had. In Diary of an

Oxygen Thief the author Anonymous depicts this character that goes around and breaks girl’s hearts for his own enjoyment, which sounds awful, but the perfection of the

book isn’t in the topic, it’s in his writing. When you first start reading it, it seems that it’s just some jerk of a guy going around hurting people for his own pleasure and that

there is no point in reading it, but when you read it all the way through, you’ll be pleasantly surprised at how karma got him back. The way he portrays the world and heartbreak

and the reality of how people are treated, its hyper realistic and really is incredible from start to finish.

1/24/2012 Dream Factory Brad Barkley and Heather Hepler, 2007

I would definitely recommend this book to any girl or boy who loves a cheesy romance novel. This book shows both sides of the story from the girl's and boy's

opinion. Dream Factory has a humorous tone. It has mild language and some sexual content but not too much. This book is an easy, short 200 page read. It

is a very interesting book that keeps you wanting more. There are many surprises that the reader won't expect. I loved reading it and not knowing what was

coming! Definitely a very good book to read!

5/30/2013 Dreamland Sarah Dessen, 2000

Dreamland is a heart-wrenching story that will bring you to tears by the time you turn the last page. If you are looking for a feel good book I would not recommend

Dreamland; however, if you want a realistic view on high school romance, then this is your book. Not only will your heart break, you will feel as lost and alone as

the main character Caitlin. This novel does contain language and sexual references. I highly recommend Dreamland to anyone wanting to read a realistic romance

instead of your usual cookie-cutter love story.

1/9/2019 Everything, Everything Nicola Yoon, 2015

Everything, Everything is a book that will spark the greatest emotions into its readers. Madeline Whittier was diagnosed with a rare disease that made her allergic

to the world, yet she loved it with all her heart. Especially the ocean. Her mother and her nurse take care of her and entertain her. She attends online college and

online support groups for people diagnosed with the same disease. She even has her own book review website. Nothing compared to the world though. She always

wondered what it was like to be outside, breathe in unfiltered air, swim in the ocean. They were impossible until Olly moved in next door, making the impossible

possible. Everything, Everything is not the book you expect it to be. It's not just another teen novel. It doesn't follow the formula of boy meets girl. It breaks

boundaries and introduces unheard conflicts. This book will make you laugh, it will make you cry, and maybe it will make you question your own risks. The

unexpected twists and turns are sure to keep any reader glued to the pages. This book is sure to become one of your favorites!

1/10/2018 Everything, Everything Nicola Yeen, 2015

My first thought of this book was that it was just another one of those teen obsessions. But the more acquainted I got with this book the more I fell in love with

everything about it. Nicola Yeen creates such a positive character in Madeline even when she goes through very negative events, like her illness causing her to be

inside all day round with her nurse Carla and her mother who is her personal doctor. Or positive events like when Madeline meets Olly the boy that moves in next door

for the very first time. This has some romance even I’m not much of a fan and i thought this was an amazing book and picture of love at it’s finest. Overall i really

enjoyed this book for it’s reality, livability, and throughout humanity fulfilled in this book. I would really recommend this book to anyone that just wants to live a little.

1/10/2018 Everything, Everything Nicola Yoon, 2015

I adored the book Everything,Everything, a love that is bound to end terribly. This book is a non stop adventure for Maddy (Madeline Whittier) as she tries new things

and has new experiences. She falls in love for the very first time, takes risks she would have never even thought about before Olly. Madeline hasn’t left her house in

seventeen years, simply because she is allergic to everything. Her life was the same thing everyday routine and she just lived with her mom and has a nurse. Until one

day a new family moves in next door. There's a boy named Olly. Maddy’s disease prevents her from doing anything a normal kid would experience. Her “greatest risk

is not taking one.” She is always thinking about the adventures she reads about. Everything, Everything is all about risks that are worth taking even if it may end up hurting

you. Love is worth the risk for Maddy.

1/9/2019 The Fault in Our Stars John Green, 2012

The Fault in Our Stars was one my favorite books that i’ve ever read. Young Hazel, the main character, was diagnosed with cancer at the age of thirteen and didn’t

have many friends. Her sad story turned upside down when she met Augustus Waters at her support group, further changing her life for the good. Although they are

both sick, when they are together, it’s a time for them to forget all their insecurities and instead, be in love. This book was very hard to put down because of all the

emotions coming from the characters. I would definitely recommend this book because it will make you feel like you’re inside the story acting as one of the

characters. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a romantic, eye-opening story. Also, one can see how hard it can be to get through depression, but also

what it feels like to overcome it.

2/3/2016 The Fault in Our Stars John Green, 2012

One of the best books I have read is The Fault in Our Stars by John Green. I think this a wonderful book. It is about a young girl who has to deal with cancer. She

also happens to meet a cute young boy who also has had cancer. When they are together it is a time they can forget they are sick, and be young and in love. I

would definitely recommend that you read this book. This book will be one that is hard to put down until you finish. It will have you feeling all kinds of emotions.

I highly recommend this book! It has a great story and is easy to read. I would set it down and instantly have to pick it up again. It reads so smoothly, it just flows.

It was so described I could imagine the story in my head. If you like love stories that relate to real life then you will love this. It takes you on an roller coaster with

2/16/2016 I'll Be There Holy Goldberg Sloan, 2011

A book I would really recommend is I'll Be There. This book is written by Holly Sloan and is not a book known by most students. I was introduced to this book by

a friend that loves to read so when she recommended it to me I knew I had to read it. The book grabs your attention at the beginning by switching between the two

very different lives of a 17 year old boy and girl. Eventually the story line makes them cross paths and they fall in love. The boy has a very rough life whereas the

girl comparatively has a “perfect” life. The term “I'll Be There” is carried as the theme of the book and is foreshadowed throughout the book. These two teenage lives

merging is great at first but the mysteries and complexity along the way creates tragedy in many areas. This book keeps you locked in, very interested, and each

chapter leaves you wanting to read another. I couldn't put it down even throughout the school day I was picking it up every chance I got.

5/2/2012 Just Listen Sarah Dessen, 2006

If you like teenage love drama then you will love this book. Sarah Dessen writes a lot of great books about teenage romance and this is, in my opinion, one of her best.

She does a very good job of making you understand how the characters are feeling. In this particular book, a seemingly perfect girl begins to lose it all and becomes

quiet and shy. She meets a guy who figures her out better than she can figure herself out. He teaches her how to be herself again. There is a catch though so if you like

a book with a sneaky secret this is the book for you!

5/28/2013 Just Listen Sarah Dessen, 2006

1/24/2012 The Last Song Nicholas Sparks, 2009

This book is a great romantic novel, but it also has Christian values. The book shows the difficulties the main character goes through falling in love, changing her

life, and supporting her father who has cancer. Mostly girls enjoy this book because of the movie that stars Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus. This book is about

390 pages but is a fast read because it's a really good book! Some people would not want to read this book because of deaths and some graphic scenes. I recommend

this book because has a religious and romantic aspect to it. Some people may be able to understand what Ronnie (the main character) is going through.

1/30/2012 The Last Song Nicholas Sparks, 2009

I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys relating to the character of a story. This book vividly displays the ups and downs of life and puts them at a relatable

Christian beliefs. This book has twists and turns that will keep you from putting it down. The Last Song is a lengthy book, but you will be so into the book it won’t even

The Last Song is an amazing story of love and great heartache. This fantastic story will have you laughing hysterically at some points and reaching for the box of tissues

2/5/2016 Looking for Alaska John Green, 2005

This book made me want to keep turning the page. It was so good! It reveals romance from a whole other perspective. It is a huge adventure of Pudge at his new

school and it is truly exciting. John Green wrote this book so good, he allows you to connect on an emotional level with the characters. He is the type of author that

doesn't mind referring to controversial topics which is quite rare for an author. However, he does talk about the consequences and outcomes of making bad decisions.

John Green gives you the unfiltered version of a teenage boy’s life. You aren't expecting the outcome until it happens.

2/5/2016 Looking for Alaska John Green, 2006

I recommend this book because it is more than an average love story. Looking for Alaska is about a high school boy who decides to leave his public school in

Florida to attend private school in Alabama. He believes this change of scenery will help him find what he calls "The Great Perhaps" , a sense of self identification

and a purpose in life. The story goes on to tell how he finds this through the friends he meets and the girl he first falls in love with. The experiences he has at his new

school teach him to live his life to the fullest, because you never know when it may end. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys romance, however this

the next step from Twilight and The Hunger Games, the only difference is...IT'S BETTER. Literally I stayed up until 2 am reading this book and to be honest...I really

don't love to read. This is an excellent book that's beautifully written. I highly, NO, STRONGLY recommend this book to any girl looking for the perfect teen romance book

1/10/2018 Milk & Honey Rupi Kaur, 2014

Kaur uses her heartfelt love for poetry to write about the tragedies of some young women’s lives. She has broken down each subject into four chapters; the hurting,

the loving, the breaking, and the healing. At first glance this book seemed what today’s generation would call, ‘basic’. I personally am not a fan of romance novels,

but as I began reading, the importance of her poetry hit me. As a thriving young woman I could sympathize to some of the struggles that she demonstrates. For example,

Kaur gives the raw description of rape, family tears, and heartbreak within ‘the hurting’ chapter. She gets through to the reader the mindset of these women and how they

think about the world. However, through all of the pain, she brings about the goodness of moving on and picking yourself up within ‘the healing’ chapter. Rupi Kaur has

captured the perfect essence of what it is like to be a woman. I highly suggest this book whether or not you’ve experienced some of these cases or not, it is widely

inspirational.

capable of pulling at your emotional strings, and keeping you on your toes. This story represents how couples that are meant to be, will be, even if it takes years to

realize it. If this novel doesn't have you in tears, or on an emotional roller coaster, or make you believe in happy endings, then I don't know what will. Reading this

1/10/2018 Pride and Prejudice Jane Austen, 1813

What Jane Austen does with this book is absolutely inspirational! At first Pride and Prejudice may seem like another romance novel, but it is so much more. The

book shows its readers that you could really miss out on getting to know good people if you judge them by their looks, riches, and your first impression of them. In

the novel, the main character Elizabeth Bennet with hasty judgement throughout the book, and she eventually finds the flaws in her ways. She and her four sisters

struggle with this because the society in the 1800’s pressured youth, especially young girls, to marry soon and to someone with lots of money. Pride and Prejudice

accurately executes the shift from past ideologies of marriage to modern ideas, which is something everyone today needs to be aware of, so that we are more

knowledgeable of how to approach the idea of relationships and marriage.

10/15/2014 The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight Jennifer E. Smith, 2012

The title of this book fits the story very well. I got just about everything I expected out of it which was a super girly, super predictable, turn-me-into-a-romcom story

that would make any girl a hopeless romantic. Granted it’s not exactly my type of story I did actually fell in love with this book. The story centers around two teenagers

who find love in an airport, lose each other in the chaos of customs, and find each other once again to live happily ever after. Super cheesy I know but it's the

perfect little predictable story that makes you feel all happy inside. It takes place in the span of 24 hours and I'm surprised at how the author put so much into so little

a time frame and all the little sub plots just pull it all together. I probably wouldn't choose it for a literary analysis again but its the perfect little story to pass the time on

a lazy day or long car ride.

I recommend this novel because it is very deep and if you've ever experienced death of a close fried or family member you can relate well to the characters. It is a sweet love

story about losing yourself and finding you again. About honesty and trust and who will always have your back. I do not recommend this book for any boys because it is very

sappy and if you cry easily you will not enjoy this book either. Overall, it is a good read but you have to prefer the genre romance and a slow plot.

1/30/2012 Wake Lisa Mcmann, 2008

I personally thought Wake was a fabulous book. This book is a romance/spine trembling novel. I don’t really have any complaints about this book, even though some

may think otherwise. This book is a suspense building romance. Eventhough this book starts off a little slow, you just got to get through it, you need to read and

understand the basis of it first before you continue on to later books in the series. For those of you who loved Wake and want more, there is a sequel to it. This book

is called Fade and it's also written by Lisa McMann. Fade gets deeper into Janie and Cabel’s relationship and this time, the cases get more intense. In my opinion,

both of these books are great reads for teens. They are suspenseful and not the longest reads, but good ones. For those of you who haven’t read either of them, I

suggest you try them out and see how you like them! P.S. There is also a 3rd book in the series called Gone.Warning! This book contains: Heavy sexual content,

brief drug use, violence, coarse language.

9/28/2014 A Walk to Remember Nicholas Sparks, 1999

A Walk to Remember is a book about two different people with different personalities that end up falling in love. Jamie Sullivan is a quiet girl who is very studious, and

is content with being herself. Landon Carter has a totally different view. He's the player who most of the time gets in trouble, and doesn't have the best grades. They

both end up meeting, and they don't like each other very much. But Jamie ends up turning Landon into a better person, and they both start learning more about each

other. They go to the dance together, and Landon starts to fall for Jamie. Landon is a different person when he's with his friends, though, turning Jamie down. I

recommend reading this book because it's a love story, which has its ups and downs, but shows that people who are totally different from each other can learn from

each other and end up falling in love.

1/10/2018 A Walk to Remember Nicholas Sparks, 1999

A Walk to Remember is a beautiful story that any person with a love for a good Romance novel will enjoy. It’s unique yet sorrowful ending is what makes this

book so different than most other books in this genre. The beautiful message that Sparks is portraying through this book will leave you being more appreciative

of people and love itself. He reveals how one person could change the life of another with love and purity and how one shouldn’t judge a person on their first

impression views on them. He engages the reader and makes them feel as if they are in the story and has a personal relationship with each character. He does

a spectacular job of making the characters come to life, which makes you only love the characters more and more. This book is an exceptional story that is both

inspiring and has a beautiful message that will not only change the characters but also change the reader.

5/28/2013 A Walk To Remember Nicholas Sparks, 1999

I would recommend this book to anyone who likes to read love stories that relate to reality and has a different ending than most romance books. You will relate to

the characters, and cry your eyes out at the end. And I most recommend this book to people who believe that love can change not only people but also everyone

around us.

5/2/2012 When It Happens Susane Colasanti, 2006

This book is filled with teenage romance. The way that Colasanti has written the dialogue makes it seem so realistic. Also, it makes great musical references, mostly

because the boy is a musician. They are both seniors who learn that, even though they didn't think so at first, they have a lot in common and begin falling in love. This

book addresses most of the issues and scenarios that the majority of teenagers deal with. If you enjoy a good romance then you'll love it! However, if you don't appretiate

reading the occasional bad language or sexual moments then do not read it.

1/10/2018 Where She Went Gayle Forman, 2011

This is the second part to If I Stay, this book is about two characters Adam and Mia who crossed paths after three years since the accident. They both are very successful

and it gives you a look into what it is like being famous. Since the lost of her parents and sibling Mia has tried her best to erase Adam and move on from her past. This book

talks about dealing with their past and why things turned out the way they did. People can be faced with similar situations whether it is relating to the feelings that Adam went

through by writing breakup songs or feeling the absence of her parents and sibling because of their death three years ago. I personally prefer this book over the first one because

the amount of emotion and description put in this book is crazy. It is like you are living in their shoes and having that same experience. The setting is based in New York, the

amount of description makes me feel like I am actually their and I’ve never been in my life.
