Analyzing Data

This page provides suggestions for specific bits of analyses you might do for your class projects. Obviously, what you do for analysis is entirely dependent on what you are trying to find out. A useful thing strategy in analyzing network data is think about the difference between what is and what should be. For example, certain roles in an organization are best accomplished if the person in the role is well connected. Are they? If not, this immediately suggestion a course of action to correct the situation. So you want to look for areas where the results point to a need for action, and then try to formulate an intervention.
