Changes to Cricket Laws
Lost Ball deleted. Now dealt with under Dead Ball.
Handled the Ball deleted. Now under Obstructing the Field.
No Ball: any ball bouncing twice or landing off the pitch is now a No Ball; all underarm bowling is banned.
Dangerous/unfair bowling altered. Only one warning now for beamers.
Catches/stumpings/run outs can now be effected off a fielder's helmet.
Batsmen no longer allowed to take guard near the protected area.
Running out of the non-striker has been altered to the point at which the ball would be released.
Slight change to LBW a ball which hits the bat and pad simultaneously is deemed to have hit the bat first.
Absence from the field is changed to penalty time matching the actual time the player is off the field (to a maximum of 90 minutes.
ECB Directives now compulsory so if a captain refuses to comply with young bowlers’ overs limits or young keeper not wearing a helmet stood up etc you should refuse to continue the match.
Use of drying towels to be approved by umpires.
New law 42 regarding layer behaviour.
Limitation of the size of bats.
Substitutes may now keep wicket.
