Delaware Trace:
Delaware Trace mail boxes and posts are now available from:
Otto's Streetscape Solutions (317) 882-8933.
Mailbox and Mailbox Post Replacement Information / Requirements: Mail boxes, vinyl letters, and mailbox posts in Delaware Trace are provided by Otto's Streetscape Solutions (317) 882-8933. Mail boxes, letters, and posts previously supplied by Caporale Post of Greenwood are also permitted. No other posts or mailboxes are approved.
The mailbox is a “large”, custom painted in “Raisin” (brown). The vinyl letter font is “Caxton” and the letter color is “Sand”. The paint used on the mailbox is an automotive grade paint. The mailbox cannot be repainted by the homeowner. If yours is heavily faded, rusted out, or has been damaged it must be replaced with a new one.
If you need to replace a missing letter on your box, these are available from Otto's. Note that the color of the letters has changed since the first houses were built in Delaware Trace. If you have an original mailbox with the white letters and they are all in good condition, you do not need to replace them with the "Sand" color letters. However, if you need to replace one or more white letters on such a mailbox, you should replace the all the letters with the new color.
If you need to replace a plastic pull/latch of a Caporale mail box, contact the mailbox manufacturer directly at: Solar Group, 7700 Harker Drive, Suite A, Peoria, IL 61615. In your letter, ask for a "replacement latch for the T-3 jumbo mailbox" and include your name and address and a check or money order for $5.00, which covers the cost of the latch plus shipping and handling. You may call the Solar Group at (800) 647-7063, but all requests must be made by mail to the address shown above.
The mailbox post is a 6x6 “Clover” style with a built-in paper holder, and comes pre-painted from Otto's. The color is “Caporale Beige”. It is the homeowner’s responsibility to keep the post painted and in good repair.
Paint for the mail box post can be obtained from the Porter Paint store, 1382 South Range Line Rd, in Carmel. Ask for "Caparelli Beige" in the #519 Acri-Shield Exterior Flat Latex deep base. They have the tint formula in their computer.
If you go to another Porter Paint store, the tint formula is:
B 0Y24.000/48
C 0Y34.000/48
M 0Y22.000/48
W 0Y12.000/48
