Introduction - He does each of the following with a partner and talks about each.
Cobra Strikes Attacker comes in with straight punch. Deflect punch with cane In a fan block manor and then strike with other hand to the body or head. The bring cane over to under to a groin strike. You can then walk on thought to cause the attacker to fall.
Hook, Throw, and Lock – Sweep low right to left (strike or block) then around back and to strike to head. Then as attacker comes is two handed strike to face with tip and then horn. Then thrust with hook to chest followed by hook to neck then pull down and lock. Throw attacker to floor and then step on chest when you pull up on the cane. Use the yin/yang using the push of the foot and the left of the cane.
Diagonal Flying – Attacker punches straight. Deflect the punch and do a one handed cane thrust to the mid section with the hook. Then drop the cane down and go between the legs hooking the leg on the other side from you. Step in on so that you are close and your arms are on the inside while dropping low. Raise up and press him over with your arm.
Saber Cane – Hand behind shaft. Block then strike and then block again. Has one disarm by using the hook to go behind the grip and strip the weapon. Also shows a finger lock
Locking Legs – Place cane on ground so that you can block and kick. Then step into the attacker and strike the groin with the cane and then step your foot beside his foot to prevent him from moving and then step through and use the cane to throw the attacker. See the example video on YouTube
Dragon Whips it's Tail – uses back hand strike and then lariat strikes and then a low swing with the hook to hook the leg and then pull it out. Then strike to the neck with the hook and then hook the neck the throw the attacker.
Leaping Dragon – drop very low and come up with an upward thrust
Sting Like a Bee – This is to practice several strikes. Front punch that is parried with non-cane hand then lariat strike then follow with a series of horizontal strikes to the head using the tip followed with the horn. Then back with the crook and the tip. Then repeat with the chest and then repeat with the thigh. Finish with a hook strike to back of the knee
Yin and Yang 1 & 2 – practice moving weight from one foot to the other while doing hooking moves.
