The goal of California State University, Northridge MSTI is to strengthen and diversify California’s STEM teacher workforce by recruiting, preparing, supporting, and retaining highly qualified mathematics, science educators. 

Through targeted recruitment, comprehensive content preparation, financial assistance, and sustained professional development, CSUN seeks to reduce barriers to entering and advancing in the teaching profession, expand the qualifications of practicing teachers, and address critical teacher shortages in high-need STEM disciplines throughout California.
