The Mathematics Teacher-in-Residence (TiR) works with Mathematics Faculty Liaison to recruit and support STEM undergraduates and credential students as they become secondary math (and science) teachers. Activities will include: Weekly “Tea Time for (prospective) Teachers”, where math majors, and others meet with MSTI Interns, Scholars, and undergraduate and credential STEM students to share experiences and resources. The TiR will work with the mathematics faculty liaison to create and implement: More than a CSET (Math Subtest III) Prep Course and run weekly meetings where participants will solve problems in Breakout Rooms and participate in content and pedagogy discussions and demos.
