Q. What is Mind Chatter? >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> A. We use this term a lot. So much that we sometimes forget that it can be a bit confusing. Mind Chatter is your inner dialogue. It's also called mental noise and mental clutter, because that is what it does. It clutters your mind from clear thinking. It is a deeply embedded habit that continues unless it is slowed down, pruned, weeded, or tended to. That is what today's Guided Meditation can help you with! >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> But before we ease into today's Guided Meditation,we wanted to first let you in on why meditation can help people achieve better physiological, psychological and spiritual health. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> When done right, meditation may slow down your respiratory rate, lower oxygen consumption, enhance your immune system and increase blood flow, ultimately helping you clear your mind of unwanted stress - stress that may prevent you from total relaxation (Just like those pesky weeds!) And did you know that... In a study of health insurance statistics, meditators had 87% fewer hospitalizations for heart disease, 55% fewer for benign and malignant tumors, and 30% fewer for infectious diseases. The meditators also had more than 50% fewer doctor visits than did non-meditators. So... "gardening" for our minds is not such a bad idea after all! >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Some tips to help you ease into meditation: Put on a pair of headphones. Although not required, the audio is more impactful when heard through headphones Find a peaceful space in your home where you don't work, exercise or sleep. Carving out your own space is important for you to focus. Stretch. Stretching relaxes the muscles and tendons allowing you to get into a comfortable position more easily. Stretching also begins the process of connecting your mind with your body Get into a comfortable position. Do what works for you; just be sure to get into a position that you can maintain for a period of time. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Ready?
