A place of solace for many consumers and shoppers,music,songs,lyrics,and beats,Ive often turned to at various stages in the maturation process while working to gain direction and sense of purpose as an adolescence and college student. Usually,I am the one who searches to find the right,even perfect sound or song to capture the mood and atmosphere of the moment. In other instances,on the days when I want a pick me up,I often search for music,songs,lyrics,and beats that motivate and inspire. And a personal truth,in previous years,I frequently retreated to music,songs,lyrics and beat as a distraction from the daily routine of life. For years,I loved to listen to music,and today at forty something,I still love listening to music. From R&B,to Gospel to Country,to Alternative rock,I love all types of music but more than anything else__ I love well written lyrics. Besides up tempo beats,I also love music and songs written for the hopelessly romantic, and at the same time , I love listening to music and songs that's written to address social and political concerns of citizens. Veritably,Ive listened to a lot of music throughout the years but rarely have I sat down and put into words exactly what I thought or felt about a particular music artist or entertainer. Remorsefully I have to confess, I really didnt begin to seriously evaluate music,songs,lyrics until 2006. As part of being a product tester and consumer,I taste,test and sample various products including music cds and singles. Although,I have not written much about the various music and songs I ve listened to over the years,its kinda etched in my thoughts the songs and lyrics of artist who I absolutely love. Outrageously bad Ive known since middle school that music has been big business,therefore its not surprising I have followed a few of music business biggest artist and entertainers, some Ive watch grow from kiddie pop to grown and sexy,others I fell in love with their sound and followed their careers up to the minute they became a household name. Largely in part because I love listening to music so much,and perhaps it is the biggest reason I chose to make a spot in the csaccac eNewsletter and Newsletter for the Editor's Pick of Top 10 music artist from 2010-2013. So,here's the first top ten editor's pick,and I look forward to seeing you each month.
