We had discussion about the Gettysburg Bus trip that was on March 21. It was a great trip and a wonderful tour. Unfortunately it will be the last trip that the Camp undertakes. We did not have the turnout that we had hoped for and the trip lost came close to $500.00. We cannot afford losses like this so sadly the Camp will not do this again.

Purchase of three wreaths for Remembrance Day weekend in Gettysburg. The wreaths will be placed at the following locations. One at the monument to the 7th New Jersey, one in the New Jersey section in the National Cemetery, and one at the Elizabeth Thorn monument in Evergreen Cemetery. To help offset the costs of the wreaths, Brothers can donated to the wreath fund if they wish.
$25.00 to Department Junior Vice Commander Robert Meyer to offset the cost he incurred for wooden nickels promoting the New Jersey Department SUVCW.
At this year’s New Jersey Department Encampment PCC and current Department Senior Vice Commander, Fred Mossbrucker will be installed as Department Commander. The Camp is encouraged to make a good showing to support Brother Fred.
We still have some Brothers that owe dues for this year. Notices will go out this week as we need to get this resolved ASAP. After much discussion and to make things easier dues for 2016 dues must be in by April 1st, or you will be dropped. It is not fair to the Camp to outlay money for dues.
In a cost cutting measure all of our statements from ABCO will now be paperless.
Commander's Annual Challenge" is a chance to sponsor a luminary in honor of the members of the 7th that were killed at the Battle of Gettysburg. The luminaries are $18.63 each and the money helps to defray the cost of the luminaries placed in the Gettysburg National Cemetery during Remembrance Day weekend. Of course you can sponsor these in the name of a loved one or your own Civil War ancestor. If you are interested you can mail your check made payable to the Francine Camp to our Camp Treasurer:
