Dr. Sierra Woodruff will visit class on Wednesday, 19 February. She is a professor in the Department of Landscape Architecture and Urban Planning and an expert on disaster mitigation and adaptation of cities and will talk about different strategies being used by various cities. Refresh your knowledge by looking through the slideshow. Pull out the good references and hints about where to find good material.
Reprise of Exercise 1. Please develop sheet layouts of the American Houses. Use ARCH D format. Design multiple variations of your house types. Put them in the folder on the shared drive under Submittals for the exercise. Submit the Revit files and a PDF of the sheets. Print the sheets at 50% size (they will be about 16 inches wide, roughly ledger size.) I would like to pin up the houses, similar to the pin-up of work from Professor Louie's section. Make it look good! Turn it in by February 21.
Autodesk Revit 2020 Site Designer Addin. This is very difficult to find, but very powerful. It helps you design roads, parking lots, sidewalks, regrade landscapes, and so on. There is an image of the addin running in Revit below. I downloaded from
