The goal for this class is to bring together all of our knowledge from previous courses and experiences to design a great project with a challenging level of complexity.
What is a great project? One that achieves inspirational beauty while protecting and preserving the health, safety, and welfare of the public. One that makes a profit for the client, enabling more stellar projects to serve an ever larger number of the public. One that achieves enduring value.
But a great project is also one that is "realizable". Documentation of the project must be comprehensive with respect to ideas, physicality, and construction. You will not be there to explain your project; the documentation must be complete and must stand alone.
This is sustainable architecture. The goal of this course is to design sustainable architecture.
