Welcome, new Bruin to the Department of Community Health Sciences (CHS) at the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health (FSPH)! We are excited that you have chosen our program to continue your path in public health! This site is designed to prepare you for your first quarter and introduce you to the way UCLA operates. Please make sure to read through the contents of this site carefully as it covers much of the information you need to know as a UCLA student, including academic/degree program, student resources and available services, financial information, and getting settled. 

If at any time you are confused, need more information, or have a question that is not answered here, please do not hesitate to email the department's Student Affairs Officer (SAO), Adrian Aini, aaini@ph.ucla.edu. He serves as the main contact for student questions and will answer them if he can, or point you in the right direction.

Beginning in the Summer and leading to the start of Fall Quarter, you will receive a large amount of information from the University, School of Public Health, and the Department stating deadlines, information, orientation, opportunities, etc. It is your responsibility to read these notices, observe the deadlines, and take any action that is required. This is especially important for items such as work-study, financial aid, traineeships, and filing dates.
