Center for Accessible Education (CAE)
Services are designed to meet the unique educational needs of regularly enrolled students with documented permanent and temporary disabilities. The philosophy and mission of the program are to encourage independence; assist students in realizing their academic potential; and facilitate the elimination of physical, programmatic, and attitudinal barriers. The CAE staff is available to assist students in successfully meeting educational challenges. Students In Financial Crisis
Many UCLA students have been impacted by the current economic crisis and the UCLA Economic Crisis Response (ECR) Team wants to assist you in staying in school. If you are in financial distress please email ECR@saonet.ucla.edu. It is important that you email them directly, so that the ECR Team can take a comprehensive approach to your situation and can help you determine as many options as possible.

The Students with Dependents Program provides caring and personalized support to UCLA students who are parents, guardians, and caregivers. The program is committed to helping student success, both as parents and scholars, by offering programs and advocacy that enrich and support parenting student’s academic, personal, and professional goals. UCLA Office of Ombuds Services
The Office of Ombuds Services is a place where members of the UCLA community–students, faculty, staff and administrators–can go for assistance in resolving conflicts, disputes or complaints on an informal basis. In order to afford visitors the greatest freedom in using its services, the Office is independent, neutral and confidential.
Dedicated Lactation Space
For nursing mothers, lactation rooms are in the following locations:
A-Level of CHS. A lactation room within the Student Lounge is available to FSPH students only and is accessible by swiping the UID card. 17-311 CHS. This lactation room has two stations. Each station has a glider chair, a small table, tissue paper, power strip to plug into, privacy curtain, and a small trash can. The room has several shared items including refrigerator/freezer, microwave, bookcase with cubbies to store personal items, cleaning products in the event of a spill, first aid kit, hand sanitizer, paper towel dispenser, marking pens with tape, white board and sticky note area, dry erase markers, Swiffer dry/wet mop, broom/dust pan, and Ziploc bags for pump item storage and a backup Medela pump. New mothers interested in using this room should contact Brenna Tam via email at btam@mednet.ucla.edu or by phone (503) 705-7424.
33-337 CHS. This lactation room has two stations. Each station has a glider chair, a small table, tissue paper, power strip to plug into, privacy curtain, a small trash can, and a personal light. The room has several shared items including refrigerator/freezer, baby changing station, cubbies to store personal items, cleaning products in the event of a spill, vacuum cleaner, first aid kit, hand sanitizer, paper towels, marking pens with tape, white board and sticky note area, dry erase markers, Swiffer dry/wet mop, broom/dust pan, and Ziploc bags for pump item storage, donation area, radio with iPhone hook up and backup pump. The room also has a resting cot with a black-out curtain, blanket, and pillow. Clinical and Translational Research Center, B Level, Room BE-144 CHS. Inside the area are a nurse's station and a number of small consult rooms, waiting areas, and patient rooms. Although the rooms are not always available, a mother wishing to use a room should check in with the charge nurse at the nurses' station to ascertain if a room is available. This facility is open Monday through Friday, except from 7:30pm-7:30pm. If you would like to use this facility, please call 310-825-5225 and ask to speak with the charge nurse to see if there is a room available. UCLA Student Legal Services
UCLA Student Legal Services provides confidential legal counseling and assistance regarding a wide range of legal issues to all currently registered and enrolled UCLA students. They are able to help students with a variety of problems, including: Landlord/Tenant Relations, Accident and Injury Problems, Domestic Violence and Harassment, Criminal Matters, Divorces and Other Family Law Matter, Automobile Purchases, Credit, Collections, and Financial Issues, Employment Matters, and Health Care and Consumer Problems.
