Promotion was out of our hands so we were playing for pride whereas Offy Green needed to beat us to be champions.

We got off to a flyer with a remarkable volley by the 'effortless' Danny Ap from the halfway line! Green equalised before Danny put us back ahead just before the interval.

Top scorer Matty Oldfield put us 3-1 up in the second half which was proving to be a very interesting game. Offy Green are a quality side and have great strength in depth, and so clawed their way back to 3 each with 10 minutes remaining. With honours even in the final minutes, the stage was set for one man - Gary Evergreen Conner! Sure enough as 2 players collided for the ball it broke to the 'youngster', there was only to be one outcome. He galloped forward into the box and steered the ball past the oncoming keeper into the bottom corner of the goal!! A pile on ensued and the victory was ours.

It all but wrapped up a decent campaign. My thanks go out to all of you for your efforts over the season.
