To celebrate the release of the new XY Primal Clash set, Chantilly League will host a special new set tournament this Sat, 2/7 at the Fantastic Store. This tournament will give players and fans a chance to be creative and create a deck from this new card set. You'll compete and have a chance to win prizes. This is the same tournament we ran when XY Phantom Forces was released. Here are the details:

  • Registration time: 2:00 to 2:30 pm
    • To register, players will purchase 6 packs of the new XY Primal Clash in the Fantastic Store.
  • Price for the 6 packs is $20 (this includes the entry fee that will be used to pay for the prizes in the tournament)
  • The store will set aside your 6 packs which will be given out to all players at once at the start of the tournament (about 2:40 pm)
  • Once we hand out the packs, you will have 20 minutes to create a 40-card deck that will be used in the tournament.
    • We will loan out energy cards for your use (which must be returned at the end of the tournament)
  • Depending on the # of players that compete, we will have from 3 to 5 Swiss rounds of play. Each round will last 20 minutes each.
  • The top 5 finishers will earn prizes:

First Place: A Pokemon tin or collector box compliments of the Fantastic Store + 1 XY Primal Clash pack

Second Place: 3 XY Primal Clash packs

Third Place: 2 XY Primal Clash packs

Fourth Place: 1 XY Primal Clash pack

Fifth Place: 1 XY Primal Clash pack
