Hello!

Just a friendly reminder that we have a special Halloween League this Sat that starts at Noon. Yes, we have an earlier start and finish at 4 pm so that you can all go out trick or treating or to parties in the evening.

Special activities for Halloween League:

• Pokemon costume contest - wanted to clarify the full body costume - stores like Target and Walmart sell full body costumes - so you can buy one. Also, you can be a Trainer (like Ash) or a Gym Leader or any character in the Pokemon universe. Your creativity is your only limit! (See info at end of this email)

• Spooky Tournament - Unlimited format, 30-card deck w/ at least 5 spooky Pokemon

• Double points day! All your completed games count for 2 marks on your scorecards! Earn rewards faster this Sat.
• Store special for League attendees - Ancient Origins packs are $2 each (limit of 10)

Also, if you want to contribute snacks and treats to the League - that would be great! I'll bring some treats as well. Also, if anyone has speakers for iPod, iPad, please bring so we can play some Halloween music.

And as if that wasn't enough weekend fun, we've got the pre-release event on Sunday 11/1 starting at Noon. This is your chance to get packs of the next card set before they officially hit stores. Details and pre-registration link is here.

Halloween Costume contest: to be eligible to compete:

• Costume must be full body, of a Pokemon, the more realistic, the better chance you have of winning!
• (e.g., wearing a Pokemon baseball cap does not count, nor does wearing a Pokemon t-shirt :-) we need to see effort and creativity in the costume)
• There will be one winner in each age division: Jr, Sr, and MA
• If each division has at least 5 contestants, we'll have a second place winner as well
• Judges will be Ken (the League Organizer), David (League Leader) and folks from the Fantastic Store. We'll each have one vote for the best costume in each division
• Prizes have been generously donated by the Fantastic Store (so please thank them when you see them). We'll announce prizes at some point during League - but they could be collection boxes, tins, and more.

Spooky Tournament guidelines:

• Format: Unlimited
• Create a 30-card deck with at least 5 spooky Pokemon (including Ghastly, Haunter and Gengar, Spiritomb, Chandelure, , Zubat, Golbat, Crobat, Espurr, Meloetta, Espeon, Sigilyph, Mr Mime, Jynx, Toxicroak, Gothita, Gothorita, Gothitelle, Unown - you get the idea, mostly Psychic types)
• No EXs allowed! (to be fair to all competitors)
• Most creative deck wins a prize (Judges: Ken and David)
• Compete in the Tournament and winner gets Pokemon packs. (depending on # of players, maybe 2nd and/or 3rd place too)​
