Carraig na bhFear AC Social Media Policy


Carraig na bhFear AC recognizes the value of social media as an important tool for members, athletes, coaches and friends of the club to engage, interact, learn, communicate, and promote news, events and activities at our club. Each social media channel offers a virtual gateway through which Carraig na bhFear AC communicates its ethos, passion and quality of activities to a diverse audience.

Social Media Management

Carraig na bhFear AC’s social media accounts are a suite of online channels set up, managed and run with the aim of telling the club's story and mission. Management of Carraig na bhFear AC’s primary social media accounts lies with the PRO(s) and Assistant PRO(s). Management includes daily running of the accounts, from creating original content to sharing secondary content, along with responding to messages and engaging with followers and audiences.

Our Approach

All content created on and shared through Carraig na bhFear AC social media accounts are required to be in-keeping with the voice/tone of the club. We aim to be informative, supportive, Innovative, respectful of others, always helpful and a leader/role model of the community. We are not offensive, discriminatory, confrontational, inappropriate and unduly negative or cynical.

Photography


Members complete photography and filming consent forms at point of registration. Juvenile members forms are signed by guardians.

Registration officer will inform club photographers and PROs of any case where consent has not been given.

Photographers should be credited for their images on the different social media platforms.

Cyberbullying

Cyberbullying will not be tolerated in any way and will be dealt with through the appropriate disciplinary channels.

“Cyberbullying is the use of information and communication technologies to support deliberate, repeated and hostile behaviour, by an individual or group that is intended to harm others” (Belsey 2007).
