2016 fire resources per 2016 hiring information, their website, and 5/3/2016 wildcad info - Inyo NF fire mgmt is combined with BLM fire mgmt
Type 3 engines carry 500 gallons of water and have 150 GPM pumps (approx) - they are staffed by 5 people daily - an "engine module" might have 7 people assigned - this allows 2 people to be off duty daily - firefighters work a 40 hour 5 day shift so the 2 extra people are needed to keep the vehicle staffed 7 days per week ( aka "7 day effective")
