Revised Troop Guide Book is now posted under Guides and Procedures tab, and includes the following revisions:
I. JOINING
Copy of Youth Protection Training “Certificate of Completion”, required of all adult volunteers when registering and must be renewed every year.
--
A Scout is not a member of the troop until all registration paperwork and payment have been completed and submitted to the troop Membership Chair. The Scout (and/or parent) will not be allowed to attend troop functions/outings and any work done toward advancement to Scout rank will not qualify until they are registered members.
V. SAFETY
The troop always needs adult drivers for outings, even if they are not staying to attend the outing.
VI. CAMPING/OUTINGS
Troop Equipment: The troop provides stoves, cooking equipment, and lanterns. All equipment in need of repair must be reported to the Patrol Leader and Quartermaster prior to storage of the equipment at the conclusion of the campout. Likewise, ALL troop equipment must be cleaned and supplies replenished before being returned for storage.
VII. ADVANCEMENT
With encouragement and participation, all Scouts can attain the rank of First Class within 18-24 months of joining the Troop.
