PARENTS, THE TROOP NEEDS YOU!
WE HAVE AN IMMEDIATE NEED FOR YOUR HELP!
BSA rules require at least 2 adults to attend each troop outing. Recently, there has been a shortage of adults willing to help on outings. If this continues, we will be forced to cancel outings which will result in your sons missing opportunities for personal growth and advancement.
In addition, parents are needed to assist with other troop activities and roles. Because too many parents are not helping share the load, starting next year we are requiring parents to contribute 30 hours of volunteer service for each scout in the troop.
A list of official roles will be posted on the troop website. In addition to those roles, perhaps you can be an outing driver, participate as one of the adult leaders for a troop outing (you don't need to be officially registered with the troop as long as you are complete the 20 minute online Youth Protection Training program), or help with a troop activity, such as Elks events or annual popcorn event.
If you have any questions, please call Michael Ozawa, Chairman, at (213) 705-9339.
