Using pg. 62 in the workbook, have students practice copying down the question correctly (inserting slots for the coefficients) and doing the atom count (but not balancing them). Walk around and check them while students are working on it. As students are finishing up, if they got all 8 correct, then they become the student checkers. Then, work on the 12 'HW' problems...walk around and check as students are working. Once all complete and checked, then students become student checkers. Then, go over 1 or 2. Then, ThatQuiz on balancing chemical equations...some kids didn't finish, will finish tomorrow.
