The VJMC is a worldwide club with 4 separate branches in North America, the UK, Australia and New Zealand that keep in contact by exchanging newsletters.Objective - To foster the preservation, restoration, riding and enjoyment of ownership of Japanese motorcycles more than 15 years old.The New Zealand Chapter is a non-profit community association operated by volunteers in an informal and friendly manner. The work of operating the VJMC New Zealand chapter is carried out by unpaid volunteers, Ross and Judy Charlton with representatives in various centres throughout the country. All VJMC Clubs have the common aims of fostering the restoration and riding of older model Japanese Motorcycles. The Clubs keep in contact by exchanging Newsletters and other means to keep informed about activities in other countries.
Membership costs $30 per year which provides members with newsletters and a reduced national rally fee. The national rally is usually held in March over a weekend and alternates between two in the North Island then one in the South Island.
