First up for this new section is Alan Clark with his mind altering orange 1971 Suzuki TS125. This bike is well known to many who began there biking passion on just such a machine. This was supposed to go up earlier as Alan his completed his renovation and is currently selling it on Trade Me. Somebody is getting a bargain!

UPDATE: Bike has been sold to a collector in Auckland who is into small trai/dirt bikes. Nice one. With the great carrier it has it could have easily ended up out at Himatangi as a beach bike!

The story of this bike is that it is a "barn find". I came across it when Bruce's RT1 piston became a lightweight special and we called into the closest property to park it up while I dubbed Bruce home on the TS250. The guy took one look at the TS and said mate I've got one of those on the shed. He said make him an offer and take it away or would probably go to the dump. it was alsmost complete and too good for the dump, so offered him a one-er and loaded it into Don's van.

It's a TS125T of 1971vintage, and was the Japanese "street/sport" model designed for their home market. The kick-start wasn't working and neither was the clutch, but some investigation revealed the clutch assembly coming apart due to a loose nut, and once fixed I got it fired up. I am doing a renovation on it and trying to complete as much as possible myself, including spray painting it in lacquer (along with most of the garage) in it's original Candy Bright Orange. The only parts missing are the original chrome low front guard and the indicators, which I may not worry about for the time being.
