Blue Haze VJMC

This website is devoted to Vintage Japanese Motorcycles and the people who have made  them a part of their lives.  Like a growing number of mature blokes and ladies we are revisiting the vehicles from our youth and for many they happened to be a long line of 2 strokes and a sprinkle of 4 strokes from Japanese manufacturers. We are an active group of like minded enthusiasts living mainly in Palmerston North, Feilding and Levin, New Zealand. We like to think that we live by the motto “Ride it don’t hide it”. We are also the local section of the New Zealand Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Club which is a part of the worldwide VJMC movement.  We try to go for one club run a month around the motorcycle friendly Manawatu, Tararua and Rangitikei countryside. If the weather is fine during any weekend there is usually someone who is keen for a ride. Members run a mix of 2 strokes, 4 strokes and moderns, but for many, 2 strokes are the priority for riding and restoration. Some have taken to the racetrack through ride days and also post classic racing with a regular ride down to the Southern Classic  in Timaru an annual feature of the year for some. You are more than welcome to come along and join us. We have a run on the last Sunday of the month and leave from Memorial Park at 9:30am.
