06) Chris Peters

Introducing the music of New Hampshire singer/songwriter Chris Peters. Chris Peters is a regular guy, who doesn't quite fit into the "regular 9 to 5" lifestyle.
Making music in the Northeast for almost two decades, he has spent years performing in rock clubs, gritty bars and coffeehouses.  This experience has helped to develop not only a large repertoire of original music, but also a dynamic stage presence with which he works to engage audiences. His songwriting combines edgy music stylings, with a familiar, yet unique Pop/Rock sound.  Rock influences permeate guitar driven songs, but don't outshine the powerful and polished quality of his voice. BKJ is pleased to present sheet music for a number of Chris Peters' songs.

Over the last several years,  Chris has Incorporated the singing talents of his wife Kate into his music and they often perform as a duo. Shortly after meeting at an open mic night back in 2004, it quickly became apparent that they had a deep musical connection. Chris points out, "As trained singers, we both found something we were missing.  Someone to harmonize with.  And, as we both write songs, we also found a writing partner.  Together we continue to experiment, and welcome the ability to create music we could never make on our own."

This collaboration prompted Chris to write the song which is the first of his publications with BKJ. Christmas Angels is available in a full arrangement which the couple premiered on NH Television WMUR's Chronicle program on December 9, 2013. We also offer a guitar/vocal version of the song. Chris says the song is about finding magic in everyday life. “Angels don’t have to wear big bright halos,” sing the couple.

The arrangement for vocals and five instruments is available for $12.00 and the guitar/vocal sheet sells for $4.00.  For more information about Chris Peters and to see video or hear and purchase his recordings, please visit www.chrispeterssongs.com.
