Special Olympics Volunteer Opportunities

For Brother Knights and their families to help SOILL (Special Olympics of Illinois), it is easy to register by just going to https://www.soill.org/volunteer-events/. Scroll down to the lower portion of the page to find upcoming events. Look specifically for Region J events which are held in this area. Clicking on an event will take you to a registration page that lists what volunteer openings still exist with specific functions and times. Follow the instructions given to complete the process.

2018

In addition to giving volunteer efforts at various events each year, the Knights of Columbus also raise raise funds to support the program. At our recent Chili & Dessert Cook-off event, two checks were presented to individuals representing the organization. 2017

Members of our council often volunteer to assist with Special Olympic activities in our area. We also provide financial support. At one of our recent meetings, a Special Olympics athlete and his mother were on hand to accept a check on behalf of Southern Illinois Region 12 in the amount of $2,489.03 from the council. Presenting the check to them were Jim Albarado and Deputy Grand Knight Troy Lively as shown in the picture below.
