Join us for this unique opportunity to retreat, relax and re-create on the Lost Coast at Big Flat. Hike from Shelter Cove on the morning of Friday Sept. 7 and land at this beautiful ranch house for a weekend of meditation, yoga and movement, hiking, journaling, time for solitude and wonderful organic meals.

Spend three nights in this remote location camping either in tents or in sleeping quarters inside the ranch house itself. There is a wood heated shower, a wood burning hot tub and sauna and full sized kitchen house--meals provided. Gear will be flown in and out of Shelter Cove. The hike out will be on Monday Sept. 10. Both hikes will be scheduled around low tides for safe crossing at that time of year.

Specifics:

Date: Friday September 7th- Monday September 10th

Time: Hike to Big Flat from Shelter Cove Friday, hike to Shelter Cove from Big Flat after breakfast Monday. (You will be notified of specific times once you have confirmed your reservation) Includes 3 nights camping, 8 meals, daily yoga classes and meditation instruction.

*Modest additional cost for indoor stay. Inquire about indoor options, beds are available.

Camping: Bring your own tent, sleeping bag, pad. They will be flown into camp.

Indoor stay: Bed for 2 in shared space upstairs, bed for 2 on ground level screened room, single sleeping nook for 1 on ground level, one private room with bed for 2. Prices vary, please inquire.

Hike: The hike to Big Flat is 8.5 miles from Shelter Cove on the beach. The terrain varies from sandy to rocky. This hike is flat but strenuous due to the uneven terrain. The hike must be done during the low tide for safety. At an average pace the hike takes approximately 4-5 hours. The hike from Shelter Cove will take place on Friday September 7th. All attending will meet in Shelter Cove and do the hike as a group. Hiking poles highly recommended!

What to Bring: Journal, pens, day pack, hiking shoes/gear, water container, sunglasses, sunscreen, hats (sun and cold weather), shower shoes, all personal toiletries, pillow and other sleeping gear if needed, any food or supplements for personal use.

Facilities: Outdoor wood burning shower, wood burning hot tub and sauna, kitchen house with amenities, filtered water, two outdoor compost toilets. Electricity in main house and kitchen house.
