A Day of Space: Sunday April 28th, 2013
And May 4th, 2014
10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Most of us these days are multi-taskers. We are juggling so much. While we may feel that it is working out pretty well, when we take a closer look we'll see that much has slipped our grasp. (One of many recent studies here) In our busy lives we tend to have equally busy minds. Often times we are even robbed of much needed sleep due to mental activity. We are fortunate to have a multitude of practices available to quiet our minds and allow us to settle into ourselves in a healing and revitalizing way. Now, all that is needed is to make the healthy decision to participate in these practices.
That's where our Day of Space comes in! Join us for a day of silence, meditation, exploration and a morning yoga practice at the lovely "earth house" in the Manila dunes. Our focus will be allowing your mind and body to open, relax and let the natural space of being fill your experience. We will serve an organic, vegetarian lunch and provide ample time for exploring the beach and dunes. The idea is to really sink-in and savor our lives, in effect it will be a day of "uni-tasking"
Cost $75 Lunch included.
Space To Be. . .Freedom To Soar
Dates: March 11th - April 15th 2013 (Six Monday evenings)
Time: 6:30 - 9:15 p.m.
Location: Humboldt Coastal Nature Center (Manila)
With a busy schedule of demands and duties and a mind full of thoughts about how to best negotiate life, do you ever feel a little hemmed in? Add to that the occasional or continuous self-improvement project and a person could feel downright locked-down. Is it just our relationship to surviving, thriving and our hope for a little love and joy in between that make us feel less than free? Perhaps there are some techniques, insights, and understandings that can help us to experience our lives as more spacious, light and free. This six week course employs movement, meditation, experiential exploration and logos (a system of understanding) to facilitate our movement from what Eckhart Tolle calls "object consciousness" toward the vast freedom of what he has termed "space consciousness".
Cost: $135 Before March 8th, $150 after.
We are very fortunate to have procured the use of Humboldt Coastal Nature Center in Manila for this series (see photos above.)
While it is common to take a stand against injustice, poverty, or environmental degradation, few of us ever identify and skillfully challenge the coercive inner critic (outer judge) that keeps our souls in bondage, inhibits our freedom and holds hostage our inherent value. Judgment is so pervasive in our culture, relationships, and inner lives that we rarely question its function. True freedom flourishes not as a result of adhering to rigid mental concepts about reality but of seeing clearly in the present moment and taking appropriate action based on circumstances and resources.
This workshop will expose the ubiquitous super-ego, the tactics which it uses to inhibit our spiritual growth and the resolution of this tenacious internal voice. We will focus the presence, power and strength that are our birthright towards liberating our inherent sense of conscience. Participants will be empowered with practical methods for dealing with super-ego attacks which can come from within or without.
