Books: the natural connection between BWB and CCPL

March 11, 2015 -- "BEGIN WITH BOOKS program a success, thanks to library staff."BEGIN WITH BOOKS, a pre-school literacy program affiliated with Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, is growing in Charleston County with help from staff at branch libraries in the program's target areas.
To date, 2,185 children have been enrolled. 1,425 have graduated and 66,000 books have been delivered to promote reading readiness. Founders of the program locally, Patty Bennett and Janet Segal, thank staff at the Main Library, Dart Branch, St. Andrews Regional, West Ashley Branch, Edisto Branch, St. Paul's/Hollywood Branch, Johns Island Regional and McClellanville Branch for helping the program grow...."
