...In Poperinge we visited the execution pole and death cells located at the Town Hall. The location was used to execute four soldiers. The original pole complete with bullet holes and damage used to be displayed but was recently replaced with a steel display one. The cells are unchanged. One is locked but shows a projected film of a prisoner pacing the cell. The other is open and has one wall covered with perspex to preserve graffiti the prisoners left.
