Henry Goodhart-Rendel was a distinguished architect who inherited Hatchlands Park near East Clandon in 1913. The Dictionary of National Biography describes him as having 'the most complete and detailed knowledge of English 19th century architecture of anyone of his time'.

St Wilfrid's church in Brighton was designed by Henry Goodhart-Rendel.
