Period History 

To give relevance and understand of what was going on in the United States, the period of time beginning in 1800 and moving forward has been split into four geographical areas: The United States, Florida, Hernando County and the City of Brooksville.

The story of our train depot starts when the territory of Florida belonged to the Spanish. These articles follow the timeline of Florida being purchased by the US from the Spanish after the 1st Seminole War, the expansion of Florida by the settlers, the creation of the city of Brooksville, and growth of the railroad.
