Dear SIS Family,

Students completed the first week of their mid-term assessments and still have one more week ahead. Kindly ensure that you are knowledgeable of the assessment materials and schedule.

The MOEHE (Ministry of Education & Higher Education) has announced that January 24 will be a day to celebrate education under the motto “Education is the responsibility of all”, therefore, we will have some activities geared toward it next week. You will receive a separate message in this regard.

Student affairs department launched the Kindness campaign school-wide. Kindly refer to their section for more information and details on how to take part.

حضرة أولياء الأمور الكرام،

أكمل الطلاب الأسبوع الأول من تقييمات منتصف الفصل الدراسي الثاني ولا يزال أمامهم أسبوع آخر. يرجى التأكد من أنكم على دراية بمواد التقييم والجدول الزمني لكل مادة.

أعلنت وزارة التربية والتعليم والتعليم العالي أن يوم 24 يناير سيكون يوماً للاحتفاء بالتعليم تحت شعار "التعليم مسؤولية الجميع"، لذلك سيكون لدينا بعض الأنشطة المخصصة له الأسبوع المقبل. ستصلكم رسالة منفصلة بهذا الخصوص.

أطلق قسم شؤون الطلاب حملة الاحسان وأثر الكلمة الطيبة على مستوى المدرسة. يرجى الرجوع إلى قسمهم لمزيد من المعلومات والتفاصيل حول كيفية المشاركة.

Term 2 Mid-Term Tests SY 23/24- Week 6:

Mid-Term Tests of Term 2 SY 23/24 of Week 6 (Jan 21-25, 2024) will be conducted on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Thursday will be a regular teaching day for all students and it will include the makeup tests for some students. All students are required to have their books and notebooks as per their regular schedules.

Makeup Tests: Make-up Tests will be provided ONLY for students who submit a Sick Leave Certificate and will be done during the Makeup Test Days during week 6.

Progress Reports of Term 2 SY 23/24: Progress Reports give parents an overview of the child’s academic level which can reflect areas of strength and /or concern. Progress reports of Term 2 will be sent on Thursday February 8, 2024.

اختبارات منتصف الفصل الدراسي الثاني SY 23/24- الأسبوع السادس:

سيتم إجراء اختبارات منتصف الفصل الدراسي الثاني للأسبوع السادس (21-25 يناير 2024) للعام الدراسي 23/24 أيام الأحد والاثنين والثلاثاء والأربعاء. سيكون يوم الخميس يومًا تدريسيًا عاديًا لجميع الطلاب وسيتضمن اختبارات تعويضية لبعض الطلاب. يجب على جميع الطلاب إحضار كتبهم ودفاترهم وفقًا لجداولهم المعتادة.

نموذج من جدول اختبارات منتصف الفصل الدراسي الثاني للأسبوع السادس

إعادة الاختبارات:

سيتم إعادة الاختبارات فقط للطلاب الذين يقدمون شهادة إجازة مرضية لعذر طبي وسيتم إجراؤها خلال الأسبوع السادس .

تقارير مستوى الطلاب لمنتصف الفصل الدراسي الثاني للعام الأكاديمي 23/24:

توفر تقارير منتصف الفصل الدراسي لأولياء الأمور صورة عامة عن تقدم المستوى الأكاديمي للطالب والتي تعكس مجالات القوة ونواحي الضعف (إن وجدت) عند الطالب. سيتم إرسال تقارير منتصف الفصل الدراسي الثاني يوم الخميس 8 فبراير ،2024.

تم توزيع الكتاب الثاني من كتب المواد الإلزامية لمادتي التربية الإسلامية واللغة العربية، لذا يجب عدم إرسال كتاب الفصل الدراسي الأول مع الطالب، وسيتم استخدام كتاب التاريخ القطري خلال الفصلين القادمين إن شاء الله.

يرجى الاهتمام بمتابعة الطلاب على تطبيق (أنا أقرأ بالعربية) حيث يساعد التطبيق على تنمية القراءة لدى الطلاب، كما يحتوي التطبيق على أوراق عمل تناسب مستويات الطلاب المختلفة.

دور ولي الأمر:

1- تعريف الأبناء بأهم الآثار والحضارات في الوطن العربي بشكل عام.

2- تعريف الطلاب بأهم الآثار والمعالم التراثية في قطر.

Term two books of the compulsory subject for Islamic studies and the Arabic language have been distributed, kindly keep the first term books at home and do not send them with the students. The same Qatar History book will be used during the next two terms.

Kindly follow-up with the students on the (I Read in Arabic) platform, as it helps in developing reading awareness and level among students. The application contains worksheets that suit different levels of students.

Weekly value: “I respect the history and monuments of my country”

The role of parents:

1- Introducing children to the most important monuments and civilizations in the Arab world in general.

2- Introducing students to the most important monuments and heritage landmarks in Qatar

Invitation to Participate in the Kindness Power Campaign

We are thrilled to announce our upcoming Kindness Power Campaign, scheduled for next week. Throughout the week, students will be actively participating in various kindness-themed activities during their blocks.

We kicked off the Kindness Power Campaign today with a Professional Development session conducted by the School Social Worker. Students in years 3 to 6 did benefit from it while focusing on the power of kindness and its potential for positive change.

To enhance this initiative, we invite interested parents to be a part of this campaign by leading a small activity or workshop during school hours or homeroom time. Your involvement will contribute significantly to creating a positive and impactful experience for our students.

دعوة للمشاركة في حملة أثر الكلمة الطيبة

يسعدنا أن نعلمكم بعمل حملة بعنوان "أثر الكلمة الطيبة والإحسان" والتي ستقام خلال الأسبوع المقبل.

بدأنا حملة أثر الكلمة الطيبة اليوم بجلسة تطوير مهني أُقيمت من طرف الأخصائية الاجتماعية في المدرسة. الطلاب في الصفوف السنة الثالثة إلى السنة السادسة الابتدائية استفادوا من الجلسة المكرسة التي ركزت على قوة اللطف وإمكانياته للتغيير الإيجابي.
