Dominican Youth Conference
We went to Adrian, Michigan and met many Dominican Sisters and Priests. We learned about the life of St. Dominic, St. Catherine, the Dominican way, Dominican Pillars and preaching the signs of the times. It was wonderful to meet many new people and pray together as a group in new ways. We learned so much and can’t wait to use what we learned to preach to others!! Our SCHS Angels: Caden F., Miguel S. and Emilio P. went this year with Mrs. Dahlgren.
Summer Service Camp
Our students spent a week serving our wonderful community. Over 1500 hours of service total. Our students assisted with projects at six local homes, cleaned up our parks, volunteered at the Hospitality Center of Racine, F.I.N.A.O., Harmony Club and St. Catherine’s High School Gardens. The students were treated to special guest speakers including: Father Steve, Deacon Dennis, Carl Fields - Director of Community Engagement (Hospitality Center of Racine), Alderwoman Mollie Jones as well as our Racine Community Police Officers.
We are so PROUD of all of our students and their continual commitment to our community!! Thank you for always being the best versions of yourselves and shining your light bright for all to see!!
FREE Breakfast/Lunch: What You Need To Know About Getting Reimbursed
Starting this school year, SCHS will be participating in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) of the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs. This means that all of our students will be able to receive free, nutritious meals every school day.
Under CEP, SCHS will receive reimbursement from the federal government for providing free meals to all students. This will allow us to simplify meal service and reduce administrative burden, as we will no longer need to collect household applications for free and reduced-price meals.
Deposited funds may be refunded or donated since eligible meals are now covered by CEP. To request a refund, please complete the form by clicking HERE.
Please do not hesitate to reach out to us if you have any questions or would like more information. We are committed to providing all of our students with the support they need to succeed in school, and we believe that access to healthy meals is an important part of that support.
