Dear Angel Community,
It is hard to believe that 2026 is just around the corner. When students arrive back in January, we will be having our 2nd count date of the year. Friday, January 9 will be a special day with special activities. Please be sure you see the below information and help get your child to school this day.
Also, when we return, there is only 2 weeks left of the term, students may have some catch up work to do over the break. Please check powerschool to see their progress.
In addition, our policy is that personal ipads are not allowed in school. These will be confiscated and parents called when found. In addition, a lot of students have lost their Yondr pouches, which are $30. You will receive an email over the holiday break if your child is on our list to purchase a new one. They must have one per our policy.
Charging of ipads has also been a concern. These need to be charged at the start of each day. Many students have lost their chargers. They can purchase one for $15.00.
We do take cash, check or charge for Yondrs and chargers. I did tell students that perhaps Santa would bring them a new charger :) (hint, hint:)
Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Please be safe, healthy and find amazing family time.
Christmas Blessings,
Mrs. Schumacher
The class with the highest percentage of attendance will receive cell phone time during angel period!
Mass reminders!
To maintain a respectful and prayerful environment, students may not be checked out during Mass unless there is an emergency. If your child must leave school early, please plan to check them out before Mass begins. Mass starts at 1:25, check the calendar for mass days.
Thank you to our amazing PTA for organizing the SCHS Teacher Appreciation Potluck and everyone that sent in food. Your generosity, time, and thoughtfulness truly made us feel appreciated.
Key Reminders
Dress Code Compliance: The school Dress Code is expected to be maintained throughout the entire school day, every day. Please see me directly with any specific questions regarding policy.
Discipline: A reminder that adherence to our disciplinary policy is mandatory: three (3) detentions will result in one day of In-School Suspension (ISS).

Please note this change in attendance policy for athletes, effective Monday, November 3. Also attached is the handbook if you want further information.
Attendance:
All participants must be in attendance at the start of the 2nd period for the school day in order to participate in an after-school event, contest, competition, performance, or practice. If a student does not satisfy this attendance requirement, the student may not participate in any contest, competition, performance, and/or practice on the same day as the absence or tardy. Individual exceptions such as documented family emergencies, school field trips, college visits, or other absences that are pre-excused by the Athletic Director or Administration are accepted. Any exceptions or special circumstances will be decided by the Administration. Coaches may implement a more strict attendance policy for their specific sport.
