Dear SCHS Community,
Please welcome Miss Fuson, a student teacher in Mrs. Aguila's class.
Hello Everyone! My name is Kelly Fuson and I am honored to be a student teacher here at St Catherine's High School. I am here from the University of Wisconsin Parkside to learn abaout how to become an art teacher. This is all thanks to Mrs. Aguila, who will be my mentor teacher. A little more about me, I am from Illinois but Wisconsin is my second home. I work in Wisconsin as a painting instructor while being a full-time student, and I am looking forward to getting to know all of you while I am here this semester.
I look forward to meeting you in person! Miss Fuson
The ACT exam for ALL juniors is coming quickly. I want to share details for all students on this day.

Virtual Learning Day
Do NOT report to school. Each teacher will post an assignment in schoology. All assignments must be complete by 2 pm, this is how attendance is determined. If the assignment is not done, it will be considered an absence.
Attendance:
In Wisconsin, parents can excuse up to 10 school days per year for any reason, but absences beyond this, or unexcused absences, can lead to truancy proceedings, with a student considered habitually truant after 5 unexcused absences in a semester.
Truancy: A student is habitually truant if they miss 5 or more unexcused days in a semester.
The reason we ask for documentation is after 10 days, absences are not excused.
Blessings,
Mrs. Schumacher
Key Reminders
Mass
To maintain a respectful and prayerful environment, students may not be checked out during Mass unless there is an emergency. If your child must leave school early, please plan to check them out before Mass begins. Mass starts at 1:25, check the calendar for mass days.
Dress Code
Dress Code Compliance: The school Dress Code is expected to be maintained throughout the entire school day, every day. Please see me directly with any specific questions regarding policy.
Discipline: A reminder that adherence to our disciplinary policy is mandatory: three (3) detentions will result in one day of In-School Suspension (ISS).

The 40 days have begun! Devote yourself to at least one practice of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving this Lent to draw closer to the Lord and allow Him to draw closer to you.
Stations of the Cross
For over 1,000 years, Catholics have been praying the 14 Stations of the Cross. Each station is a moment a significant moment in Jesus' passion and death. It is a way throughout Lent for us to meditate on the Passion of Jesus who suffered and died so we could live (Dynamic Catholic). Join us at one of our parishes on a Friday for this devotion.

Attendance:
All participants must be in attendance at the start of the 2nd period for the school day in order to participate in an after-school event, contest, competition, performance, or practice. If a student does not satisfy this attendance requirement, the student may not participate in any contest, competition, performance, and/or practice on the same day as the absence or tardy.
