Principal Note
Hello Angels Community,
Students receive an ID when they have their photo taken. This is free. Students who missed picture day will receive theirs on the make up picture day on XXXXXX. ID's are very important. Students must have them for lunch daily. In addition, they need them to get into any sporting events (home and away) games (must be current year). If your child needs a replacement one it is $10. Each card after this is $25. We have had MANY students lose their cards already, please talk to your child at home to ensure they understand the importance of the cards. The new Yondr pouches have a pocket for the ID.
Parking in the lot requires a permit. Students do need to purchase a permit. Information is below. We will begin checking the lot and issuing consequences for cars illegally parked next week.
I have been very impressed with the behaviors of the students! There have been some fun and exciting ideas brought to me that I am hoping we can implement. Clubs will be starting next week. See the club information below and encourage your child to join or two of them.
Fall weather is coming, Go Angels!
Blessings,
Mrs. Schumacher

Out of Uniform Pass Information
The Out of Uniform Pass Fundraiser allows families to purchase passes for each of their children to dress down (out of uniform). Families with multiple children will need to purchase a pass for every child. However, every child after the first will receive a discount. See below for the pricing structure.
Each Out of Uniform Pass gives your child the ability to dress down on two designated Mondays during each month of school. The passes are non-transferrable and only valid for the child they were purchased for. There are no exceptions. Teachers will have a list of students that have purchased passes to verify.
Assistant Principal Notes
Hey Angels!
Congratulations on completing your second week! Over the course of this week, I have seen many wonderful choices made by students, and I could not be prouder. The Angel Way is immeasurably important, and it is fantastic to see so many students modeling what the Angel Way truly means.
This coming week, the students will be doing STAR testing, which will test their skills in English and Math. The STAR test is nothing to be afraid of, but we ask that students take the STAR testing seriously, as it helps our staff help our students achieve academic growth! These tests are extremely important so that we know where our students are in these content areas level wise, so that we have a baseline knowledge on where we can best help our students improve.
Additionally, please review the communication surrounding dress code that was sent out this week. We will allow students to wear their current pants until next Wednesday, September 10. After this date, all students will be expected to wear only dress pants. Cargos, joggers, and jeans are not allowed.
Have a great week, Angels! Good work!
Mr. Thoennes
Dress Code
Reminder regarding our school's dress code policy, specifically concerning pants. Our policy, which has been in place since June and shared with the school community weekly with pictures of acceptable pants, requires students to wear black or khaki dress pants only.
We have received questions about what is considered acceptable. To clarify, pants with extra pockets, such as cargo pants, and pants with elastic cuffs, such as joggers, are not considered dress pants and are not permitted. This policy is in place for two main reasons: to ensure a safe and consistent learning environment for all students and to maintain a professional atmosphere within our school.
We understand there may have been some confusion, and we apologize for any misunderstanding this has caused. Our policy lists specifically what is ALLOWED. To give everyone time to comply, we will allow students to wear their current pants until next Wednesday, September 10. After this date, all students will be expected to wear only dress pants.
Thank you for your cooperation and for helping us maintain a safe and consistent school environment.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Schumacher

Service Hours FAQ
Homecoming is coming up next month and we are working hard in the Campus Ministry Office to make sure students understand how to get their service hours logged so they are eligible to go to the Dance. Your Sophomore, Junior, or Senior student will have received a message from Mrs. Dahlgren if they have not yet completed previous school year's service hours. Please check with them to see where they are with their service hours.
Quick Reminder what it says in our Service Requirements Letter found on our school website under Faith and Service: By September 1st, to be eligible to go to HOMECOMING, you must complete your previous years' service hours. By April 30th, to be eligible to go to PROM, you must complete this year and all previous years' service hours. By May 15th, to be eligible to walk at GRADUATION, you must complete 9th-12th grade’s service hours.
We want ALL students to be able to celebrate Homecoming by going to the Dance. Campus Ministry has extended the due date for service hours to September 12th.
Please note that this is just one of the requirements to be eligible to go to the dance, students must be in good standing (aka: attendance/grades/etc) and purchase a ticket to go. Ticket information will come out in a few weeks so keep an eye out for it.
